Introduction to AgriExim
It is the mission of AgriExim to provide complete import/export brokerage services for Malawian/SADC farmed agricultural produce including purchase contracts, shipping, warehousing, and delivery scheduling in South Africa. The company’s focus is on the importation of premium agricultural produce from Malawi, and other participating SADC countries, to South Africa and the rest of the world, and exporting farm inputs and other farming resources from South Africa. AgriExim also plans to provide trade consultation services to newly started farms in Malawi under AgriExim’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative supporting small holding rural farmers to achieve Fair Trade prices.
AgriExim is a limited liability partnership incorporated in South Africa for tax, administrative and logistical purposes. Its founders are, Mr. Bado Mnthali (BSc., MBL, PrEng, PMP®), a Malawian engineer, and Edwin Banda (LLB), a Malawian lawyer. They are both based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and have brought together a highly respected and credible team, who are internationally exposed and well versed in the operations of local and international markets, and cross-border trade processes.
The company has its main offices in Sunninghill, Johannesburg (South Africa). AgriExim facilities include our customer care centre, management offices, and a dispatch/holding centre. The company began offering its services in a limited advisory role in July 2014, and was formally incorporated/registered in February 2015.
Our Service Offering
AgriExim offers complete import/export brokerage services plus inventory consulting services. As mentioned previously, this includes the following:
• Supplier/buyer identification
• Purchasing, contracting and consulting
It must be noted that AgriExim currently has limited storage facilities, and where necessary, it will outsource this particular service to one of our reputable Partner Businesses. Our revenue model is primarily based on revenues from distribution to retailers, marketing commissions and market entry and logistical consulting fees.
